I never set out to become a politician. I got involved because Fairfax City is where my husband and I chose to raise our family, build a small business, send our children to public schools, and put down roots.
What began as volunteering in our schools and community eventually took me from PTA leadership, to School Board, to City Council. Along the way, I learned that local government has an enormous impact on our everyday lives, and residents deserve leaders who listen, do their homework, and aren't afraid to ask difficult questions.
In 2024, I won my Council seat by just four votes. Four. That experience permanently changed how I view public service. It proved that every conversation matters, every resident matters, and every single vote can change the direction of a community.
Since then, I have worked to earn those four votes every day by fighting for responsible spending, strong public schools, public safety, thoughtful growth, environmental stewardship, and greater transparency.
I'm running again because Fairfax City is my home, not a political stepping stone.

Protect taxpayers through disciplined budgeting, cost transparency, long-term financial planning, and careful scrutiny of major capital investments. Pursue efficiencies before asking residents to pay more.
Protect the excellence of Fairfax City schools and the strong partnership that makes them successful. Drawing on my experience serving on both the City School Board and City Council, I will advocate for our students, educators and families, support responsible long-term planning, and work collaboratively with our School Board, FCPS and Fairfax County to ensure our schools remain a defining strength of our community.
Maintain strong police, fire, and emergency services; support competitive staffing and retention; improve pedestrian and traffic safety; and invest in prevention strategies that keep Fairfax City safe and family-friendly.
Support redevelopment that strengthens Fairfax City without sacrificing neighborhood character, affordability, infrastructure capacity, environmental resources, or quality of life. Evaluate the cumulative impact of development, not projects in isolation.
Strengthen local businesses and create a vibrant, walkable downtown. Attract redevelopment and investment that expands the City's economic base and produces measurable long-term value for residents.
Improve roads, sidewalks, intersections, traffic flow and pedestrian safety. Prioritize infrastructure investments based on safety, community need, fiscal sustainability, and measurable benefit.
